I began my photographic journey in the early 1980’s.  I started with a Canon AE-1 35mm film SLR.  During that time my photographic interests were my children, family events, vacations, and landscapes.  I eventually began to develop my own film.

In 2005, I switched over to digital.  I began using Nikon digital SLR cameras.  I quickly adapted to Photoshop and the digital darkroom, not as a way to “fix” photographs but to enhance them as was done in the traditional darkroom.  My photographic journey was beginning to become a passion.  I study everything I can get my hands on.

I received a formal photography education at the New York Institute of Photography, which expanded my photographic interests. I have been published in both newspapers and magazines.  In addition to my earlier interests, I now photograph fashion, models, portraits, commercial, products, still life, and fine art.

Two years ago, I began teaching and leading workshops, mentoring and teaching both beginning and experienced photographers.
